What's the most generally reliable FWD used car for $6,000
Don't care at all about looks or speed just looking for something that is simple. The cars in the sticky are a bit older than I'm willing to go. I'm looking for something around 2006+
Any help is appreciated.

Cobalts are actually pretty soild little cars if you dont mind the cheap interior, I own a 5spd LS and it gets about 32 mpg average, but I do a lot of mixed driving. Toyotas are always a good idea, Hondas are too.

2.2L is what I have and an 08 if it gives you any hope I was 17 and slammed it up a curb at 40 mph around a corner and sheered the A arm off. No frame damage and replaced the A arm and transaxle for around 700

Do NOT get a GM from anywhere near the bailout era. I'll be glad to see my Pontiac G5 fuck off for good in a few months.

I have the low tier Cobalt SS (NA 2.4L) that I took a gamble at $2800 for 170K. I'm at 220K after 3 years and apart from replacing the flex pipe and taking it for the recall repair, I've had no problems with it. Like other anons said, if you can deal with the cheap interior, they're usually very reliable cars.
I sure hope someone out there is screencapping all these threads and making a montage with replies like
>3k civic
all over it.

Well seeing how mines fine... I dont need one. Pontiacs seem to get the bad end there.
