For the price of importing an Australian car from the United States to Germany I could've probably simply bought a year old AMG E-Class instead. If it's $50k in the US with a few options, it's $70k in Germany after shipping costs and import fees.

They'd be more likely to bring back the El Camino and they stopped making that about 30 years ago. And the people who drove that El Camino quickly got a certain white trash reputation too. That's probably what killed it off more than anything else.
