What's the car culture like in your city, /o/?

Here in Melbourne, it's mostly either "riced" out Ford Falcons/Holden Commodores, or JDM cars everywhere.
>>
Chicago used to have a decent tuner scene.
After they fucked up wacker, it kind of died down a bit. I think it's still around, but I don't know for sure. I try to stay out of the city.
>>
>>17444103
Dutchfag here
no one likes modding cars. everyone drives tiny boring stock cars in bland colors.
>>
>>17444103
Another Dutchfag (city of Eindhoven to be precise)
There's only 1 car meet in like 3 months
Mostly honda's, some bmw's, some golfs, old imprezas, miatas.
>>
Minnes/o/ta fag here
>live in small town (Brainerd mn)
>literally the only car culture there is:
>muh lift kits
>muh f-150
>muh exhaust delete (open headers)
>muh mudding tires
As for me and maybe 3 friends we are the only ones that modded our cars for the track: ecu tuning intakes things like that

Davao City in The Philippines

mostly diesel 4x4's
but mustangs are getting fairly more common
alot of BRZ/86 and old Celicas running around though

cheap labor and plentiful autostores make it much easier for middle age men to rice up pretty much anything

ooh not the mention the drag races near the crocodile farm
>>
>>17444120
>>17444379
Groningen reporting in, there's a whole bunch of 1l shitboxes, fucktons of black, white and silver German midsize sedans and the occasional boyracer in a riced diesel Golf with badly installed HIDs that blinds everyone on the fucking road.

And then there's the ultra-rare madman that daily drives something like a bright blue F10 M5, SLS AMG convertible or 996 GT3.

Especially since they added that bypass tunnel so you don't have to stop anymore if you're coming off the A28, so people always blast through that tunnel and slam the brakes right before they hit that speed trap, since the limit is only 50 starting from the intersection.

Paris and surroundings

No car culture at all. Public transportation is well established and it's super expensive to just live here so the few people that own cars have boring econoboxes. Old richfags have Porsches and the like

I didn't know it even was there but boy was it expensive fine from the government jew.

Irvine

Lots of Chinese students and other rich people driving brand new BMWs, lots of high end SUVs, a metric fuckton of Teslas, and otherwise super cheap toyotas or hondas. Oh yeah also a lot of Hyundai because there's a lot of Koreans.

Barely any Ford or Chevy of any kind, not many trucks or anything like that.

Pretty gay actually, bunch of faggot posers like pic related with only one real good import tuner here, if you want people who know what the fuck they're doing with a jap car you're better off going to NoVA, but for muh veeyate it's pretty good considering we're a turn left town

Phoenix is pretty much this + lifted trucks. Go into Scottsdale and you'll see Porsche and Tesla everywhere with a sprinkling of Ferrari & Lamborghini
>>
Gigantic subs and riced up cars, though its usually just one or the other.

On an unrelated note, I wanted to make my car look nice and just as I bought the shit to wax it, some motherfucker fucked my bumper up and it crumpled beneath the left light. It's not super visible but it's that on top of the fucking paint being torn and chipped off and now I'm depressed.
>>
St. Louis Missouri area here. The car culture falls into three categories.

Generic V6 muscle car with smoked lights, peeling paint, and generic black and chrome rims

Loud ass, road shaking muscle cars that are chromed to hell, have smoked lights or all the money went under the hood and the body is paint is peeling and rusting

Teenager with a car coated in decals, generic black rims and a screech box on the rear.

That being said, I've seen some interesting projects, like a very loud and fast STS, A BMW X5 with a LS swap and a 1965 Malibu SS with a shit ton of chrome, ear shattering exhaust, no hood and a massive blower.

Lots of exotics and imports. Dat 15 year law.
>>
Three categories

You have the "raggers", who are young guys who drive laps in town, sit around at the gas station and generally do fuck all. Preferred vehicles are VW Passat, Audi A4, Volvo 240, Volvo 740 and Volvo V70

Then you have the "racers", the guys who think they're hot shit and can outrun anything. Typically drive BMW 3/5-series, beat-to-fuck Audi S4's and Golfs

Last; offroaders. Just a bunch of guys who like to go offroading. Preferred vehicles are Toyota Hilux, Toyota LandCruiser, Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen and Jeep XJ

Most times of the year: no real car culture. Either old people with vans, college students with shitboxes, or niggers with badly-kept lowriders pumping out the bass loud enough to kill small pets in a three-block radius. The only times there's really anything interesting going on is if there's a car show around, when we get rivers of badass antique cars rolling through town.
>>

Pretty much exactly the same as what you said. Stock commodores, stock falcons, skylines, more skylines, some skylines, a couple of skylines, two golf's and a skyline.

In Finland, like everywhere else in Yurop, the average person drives some grey boring econobox Skoda Octavia or a diesel Merc.

Car enthusiasm tends to favor American muscle cars, mainly cars made before the 2000s. There's also the obligatory BMW ricers and in recent years JDM cars have gotten more popular.
>>
A lot of people with average jobs drive new Audis and BMWs around here
I wonder how they can afford them
>>
>>17449372

>>

>>
>>17449404
I've been seeing more American cars in Germany lately, a few Dodge Chargers and even muh lifted trucks.
>>
>>17449411
I'm sorry.. I pray lifted trucks go away every single day :^) the idea that they're even spreading to europe is terrifying.
>>
>>17449418
The trucks look humorously out of place on narrow German country roads. The Chargers fit in well on the Autobahn though. I quite like their sight desu

Classic American cars have been a thing here for much longer, especially rat rods. In fact I know a guy who restores hot rods and rat rods for a living

San Antonio, military city USA

Meaning there's a bunch of boyracers ricing out whatever they can afford with their signing bonuses (used Miatas and Corvettes, new/er WRX's, Toyobarus, Focus's, and Genesis coupes, lots of motorcyles and the occasional S2K) next to baby boomer retiree 60's and 70's muscle "classics" like Mustangs, Novas, GTO's, and of course the new boomer magnets like new Corvettes, new Chargers, and new Challengers. This combo group has no class, no manners, and almost no taste, as to be expected of people who are either brand new to the military and therefore very young, or have spent 20+ years of service in the military post-Vietnam. There are meets every single week, all over the city oh this group of people.

There's a pretty avid Honda/Acura scene, just like every major city has. It helps that you can get access to Hondata pretty easily in Texas.

There are tons of motorcycle clubs of all kinds, and they run with the same kind of gang mentality of violent behavior and thievery that you can expect to find anywhere.

San Antonio also hosts Nismo Fest as part of Fiesta (which is a massive, week-long, city wide party), and even though it's focused on Nismo pretty much any kind of sports car is welcome there.

With the proximity to Austin and also the high population of overpaid government employees, you also get to see some really neat shit like $200k Mercedes, Maseratis, the occasional Ferrari, top-trim Porches, etc. There's a couple who own an Evora that make it out to a track I used to go to pretty much every weekend.

Ofc, there are concrete cowboys in lifted brotrucks who are all faggots, no exceptions.

There's some autocross that happens in parking lots, plenty of rides/drives through the nearby Hill Country, and every now and then some jackass and way too many people are stupid enough to try to organize a convoy around Loop 1604 or Loop 410.

All in all, not the best but certainly farm from the worst.
