Honestly, the logo is one of the few things they DON'T need to change. A better start would be reintroducing some consistent quality control in their cars, using materials that AREN'T Poverty Plastic in their upscale models' interiors, and cutting some unnecessary models from their lineup.

It's one of the best. All variations of that shape, even if they technically could be legally used by someone else, are NOT even attempted. They know that the first thing they'll be accused of is copying the chevy logo. No company wants that kind of rep.

That is how strong and instantaneous the product recognition is with that symbol. That is what makes it a great representation for the company.

Lexus on the other hand has its logo problems as chinese and korean companies make similar logos for their companies.

Well, Ford is moving production of the Focus to china. So not only the parts will be from china, but the car will be assembled in China as well. The Focus sold in north america will be imported from China.
