But extravagant things are not necessary especially if the job is new. Traveling with the baby is still a ways off. It travels just fine in a baby seat in the Mustang and the car your wife currently has.

But it must occur because one of the roadside trash items are used baby diapers. They toss those out the window on the freeway and even city streets.

Another thing is that child safety seats have a top buckle to hold the seat firmly so that it doesn't tilt forward. Before deciding on a sedan as being able to hold TWO baby seats, check if each of the two side seats have a latch hook on the rear dash. Some sedans only have that one latch hook for the middle seat.

Of course, if your children are separated by several years, then only one baby seat is necessary because the child is able to use the seat belt.

Not always valid in america though. Lots of people, and even subsets of people, don't really bother to leave a financial legacy to their children. They start out of school not knowing shit and desperate to find a job to pay off the loans, so they are glad to get a $40k job just for the experience.

If they're good, they get like a 50% raise in a year plus a 25% bonus at the end of the year. If they're mediocre but get the job done or their employer is a penny pincher, maybe like a 20% bump and a 10% bonus. These guys are used to living on ramen and loliporn so they pay off college debt in a 2 years or so.

Now they've got a real job on their resume and start getting hit up by recruiters who desperately want "experienced" engineers so they'll throw down that extra $20-30k to get them to make the jump.

The crazy interviewing process and the shitty market for new people is a side effect. No one wants to heavily invest in their new staff unless they're a bigger, more profitable company because they just expect them to jump ship after a few years - they just try to get all they can out of them. Then, other companies try really hard to make sure that 2-3 years of experience is actual experience and not just 2-3 years of reddit during work hours with a few minutes of actual work inbetween.
