I had an ATS, was a pretty sweet car until I was playing dagumi one night and flipped it.

Alpha chassis is pretty damn good, reliability is meh. most of my warranty problems occurred in the first 20k miles though

You might be able to find a V-SPORT base for $27.5k. The CTS is a great performance vehicle. It is not a good luxury vehicle though.

Alpha platform compromises packaging for performance. The ride quality isn't anything to write home about. The back seat is cramped for a mid sized car. The ergonomics of the infotainment system is horrible much less CUE being terrible. The non LCD gage cluster looks cheap. The B pillars rattle and the parking sensors go off at a stoplights. The only reason to buy a CTS is so you can get a 400 hp RWD sedan for $25-$30k thanks to how bad they depreciate.
