Greetings, /o/.

I own a 1988 Toyota Pickup Xtracab (4x4, 5 speed). I recently came back to my truck to find that the right rear bumper cover had been torn badly from a hit and run.

Because it is an older truck, it is not particularly easy to find replacement parts. In the past, I have used a combination of ebay, JCWhitney, and google to find parts, but I feel I have exhausted these sources and still haven't found the part.

Therefore, I am looking for suggestions for other locations to find and purchase older parts, other than ebay and JCWhitney. Specifically:

Are there other popular reputable dealers of old, rare, or hard to find parts?

Are there popular forums where I could request such a part (I don't think /o/ would be very good for this)?

Helpful input appreciated!

Also, I am curious if anyone has any guess as to why replacement front bumper covers are so much easier to come by than replacement rear bumper covers.

Rockauto, they have everything.

Might look better without it, but it serves a useful purpose so I'll keep it on for now. Considering upgrading to a new shiny one possibly down the road.

Thanks, will save for future reference. Unfortunately, they also only had the front bumpers.

just build one like your op
>I cant weld brackets to two steel tubes
then fuck off

Don't listen to cummy. He has a tendency to ruin everything he touches.

I suggest you visit: https://www.yotatech.com/forums/

The Toyota trucks are literally everywhere. Finding used parts shouldn't be too difficult.

Good luck.

Sandpaper, then fiberglass or bondo, then matte black rattlecan

How does that truck you posted look better than a factory stock truck? That POS doesn't even have door panels.

What I'm trying to say is that once you start neglecting your car, the snowball effect starts and before you know it, you're driving a bucket.

OP wants his bumper. You advise to take it off. Why?

>muh roll pan

That's terrible advice.

Use a 2x6. Enjoy your cheap and replaceable push bar.
