How long are these things? They don't provide that dimension on the website. I was thinking about putting it on my Forester, but it seems like it might be close to the underskirt even though it has a cutout for oil changes.
Sediment trap
depends on your oil drain plug location but generally it's fine. in some cases you might hit a bump and it'll knock it open if it's low enough

>knock it open
It will just snap off, leaving the hollow threaded nipple inside the oil pan.

Doesn't really seem worth it unless you're changing your oil like once a month

It's stupid and I'm going to laugh at you when the valve fails and you seize your engine.

It's about one inch long. I have one on my Legacy, I like it. Makes collecting a sample for Blackstone Labs to analyze much easier.
If you don't overtighten the shit out of your filter/dont have a cartridge filter, it makes it so you can change your oil without any tools as well.
I have one that has the nipple on my lowered car and it's been fine. You gotta be borderline stanced for it to be a risk.

Don't take your all wheel drive off roading and have something hit that protruding valve when a tire or two tires sinks into a rut or depression.

Just don't let other people know you have such a valve or they might poke the toggle switch from a distance.
