So I drove without power steering for the first time today and I must say that it was pretty shitty. Obviously it is not too noticeable while you are moving but slowing down for a sharp turn or something of the sort is a real pain in the ass. I previously had a hydraulic rack and there is virtually no difference that I can tell when it comes to "the feel of the road". It's just a fucking hassle to drive now

One is tolerable and even enjoyable. The other is nearly undrivable and is what most people THINK "no power steering" means.
