Does this pointer about to pass the square mark means I should change the belt tensioner soon? I have change the belt on regular intervals or when I see some cracking in it, but I have never changed the pulleys or the tensioner.
the car is a sentra from 2008 with the 2.0. engine and 96k miles in the odo
I dont know much about cars or near nothing about mechanics so I come here for your opinion. I only know about guns so maybe if someone ask I offer my opinion in exchange.
bump JIC someone knows
yeah
how many miles on your engine?
the tensioner is extremely important, and is often overlooked
change the tensioner and as many idle pullies as you can
ive never seen an indicator or marking before,
its not right to use a visual indicator anyway.
you are supposed to go by mileage alone. and also how it actually feels. there should be no play in the tensioner, it should not wobble at all
but change the pullies too, they are almost just as important
the tensioners and pullies which are not working in perfect order will put a lot of premature wear on everything running on your drive belt.
