The only real issues you might encounter with FN2s (and EP3s) are caused by careless previous owners.

Regular oil changes and the right type of oil are important for the high strung engine, as well as letting it warm up before going WOT

Second problem is a worn out shift linkage and synchros due to previous owners doing 1-2 shifts like an Orang Utan, despite Honda trying it's best to avoid these issues with double synchros for second gear.

Very solid cars in general, but not as fast as the other turbocharged hatches if that matters.

EP3 type R or don't bother. Like the other guy mentioned people liked to trash that era of Honda.

I've got one. It's pretty good but honestly doesn't feel fast. Every other hot hatch around that time had a turbo.
