my tundra is nice, but now looking for a shit box with good mileage to cruise in and have always wanted a probe gt. easy to upgrade, sporty looking, good mileage. any reason I shouldn't? is there anything out there that is similar that I could cheaply mod to look/sound/perform mean at such a low price?
My friend had one of that vintage and he spent more time working on it than driving it.

desu I don't know too much about cars, but I think they look nice...did your friend just enjoy working on it or did it break down a lot? Know of anything comparable? I'd look into others too, like maybe a mazda 626 or just an older mustang or something

It broke down a lot. It was supposed to be a daily driver, but it was never reliable enough to be. He always has 5 or 6 cars in rotation he works on so it wasn't that big of an issue, but it was on of his worse ones.
It is a good looking car, my friend may have just had a lemon. If you can find an unmolested one it may be worth a try.
