my relatively wealthy grandpa is offering to give me his 2009 Lexus IS 350 for 8000 dollars but I get to pay in installments. Not many miles on it as he mostly drives his Lincoln Continental
Worth it?

Of course it is.
Toyota/Lexus is the best brand to buy into if you want to minimize regular maintenance costs.
There was some recent list for last year regarding cars that owners spent the LEAST amount of money on after the initial purchase and Lexus/Toyota were the top 2. Buick was #3 though so lmfao idk... but having owned multiple American, German and Japanese cars I will say straight up that Toyota is the king of daily drivers.

Yes. That's a sweet car.

Honda and specifically their DOHC engines are really hard to kill and their manual transmissions are amongst the best. Honda just doesn't get the reputation for invincible machines because people treat them like shitboxes even worse than they treat Toyotas.

1000% worth it

Yeah I was gonna mention Honda and even Subaru/Nissan too.
Its truly a testament to Japanese engineering when you look around at all the niggers and vape bros dogging the shit out of these cars but they're still literally everywhere on the road in daily useable condition.
