So the car is a 2010 VW Golf 2.5l inline 5 with a 5speed manual.
Replaced master, slave, and replaced the hose connecting them. Also bled the system and found air that was in the lines beforehand.
While disengaging the (arm with a ball on the end?) Of the master cylinder from the pedal assembly, a small piece of spring metal came out. And I couldn't figure out where exactly it was from or how to put it back in. Does anyone have any experience or idea how to fix this? I'm pretty sure the metal piece was helping the white clip grab a tighter hold of the master and keep it from having the play that it has now.
I'll post a pic of the small metal thing next. Shifting has improved. DRASTICALLY after the replacement of the components though, much smoother, however the original intent was to get a smoother pedal action and less feedback from the driveline. Now it is smoother to engage but requires more force, and has a lot of driveline feedback
