Hey guys, this is less a question about cars and more about driving. Sometimes when I'm driving in the jeep, I feel like I'm about to hit something or I am really close to it, when in reality I'm not. Is their a way to get better at knowing how close I am to something? (Pic unrelated)

Drive close to something and get out of the car and see how much space you have. Or have someone spot you while you drive close to something. A sense of the space around your vehicle is a very useful skill.

Practice and familiarity with your car.

Also, try this. Get a buddy and a shitton of tall traffic cones or something. You sit in the car, have your friend place cones just barely peeking into view around the car. Once you're surrounded, get out and see how far away shit really is.
