Need help with my 2001 clk320. I'm wanting to know what are the huge issues with that type of car and how to get them fixed.

My trunk light won't turn off on this particular car. It stays on as if the trunk was open. I'm not much of a car guy but I've pressed on the switch by hand to see if it even turns off and it doesn't. Can anyone help? Full circuit is broken somewhere maybe?

If you've got an automatic, expect the crank sensor to fail at some point. That's not a cheap job. Anything to do with air con on these cars is a nightmare - compressors, pumps etc.. Rust is probably the biggest problem with these cars, particularly around wheel arches.
As for your problem, possibly faulty wiring. Pay an auto-electrician to give it the once over.

Make sure he has the special Merc scanner or he'll miss all the proprietary codes.

Wiring or bad switch would be my first guess.

All of this too, I'll reiterate with my own:
>Rust
>Sensors, specifically crank and cam position
>Climate control is definitely expensive
>Automatic transmissions can be an issue.
Great cars though, good luck with it. Keep up with the maintenance.
