I'm driving this Clio now but I recently became financially more well off due to a good investment. I love the idea of electric cars so I am waiting until a great electric car that isn't as expensive as Tesla S comes out. I don't want to be a carlet anymore. Is waiting for electric, self-driving cars a good idea? W
is the Toyota Prius Prime a good buy?

I would wait. I had an Clio diesel and it had great fuel economy so it was cheap to drive.
Furthermore, the cost of an electric car will drop and the range will increase. In my opinion a full electric car is the best option, certainly when you produce the electricity yourself.
How old is your Clio?

Thank you for the great answer.
I like my Clio, it's diesel, super efficient. It's 10 years old or so.
I dream about having electric but I agree with you it's perhaps better to wait.

Yes, just drive it until the repair costs are getting too high.

Waiting is cheap, most of the time.

Literally any car is an upgrade desu
Chevy bolt by the time you need a new vehicle will be out for used car market and maybe cheaper and better with newer iterations.
I heard Volkswagen is releasing a 400 bhp hybrid Golf GTI soon

If you really want an electric car, you can always sell that clio while its still worth something (NOW) and lease the new Renault Zoe for a few years until something better comes out.
>electric, self driving
>at a reasonable pricepoint
arguably that would be the model 3 but i suspect the autopilot stuff will be a rather spendy extra, like 5 grand.
also you'll be waiting two years at minimum to get one like that

If it comes to the US in a two door with four-wheel-drive my dick will literally explode.
