Otherwise, have you tried driving a car that has enough power to make it up hills?
My 1.6 Focus only ever struggles when it's trying to climb a long steep hill while fully loaded, and even that just means I'm using third gear for torque and being patient.

I didn't stall, I stoppped. I was already in second gear by the time I reached the cars parked on the hill. There's pretty much no way to creep on a hill. Especially not with just the clutch.
