Yo! So I want to pick up a new hobby it's most likely going fixing up a car. Looking to getting a 240z and swapping that bitch out. I would like to do all the work myself but thing is I know some about cars just not enough to do the swap . Where can I get my knowledge up about car engines , and turbos . Appreciate everything in advance

How is it wrong car if it's the car I want to work on?

doesnt matter
Read fourms about the car, browse wikipedia, google things you don't know or understand.

Hey you're right let's get a project car we can't find any parts for or information sources for when we're lacking the know-how already. You're a homo
Good luck OP, I'd start by getting yourself a workshop manual for the existing engine. As for aftermarket shit there are plenty of forums. Luckily for you 240z's have been the source for much experimentation already so information should be in abundance.
Pic unrelated but bad ass

Found my new favourite british car, cheers anon.

If you are serious and not trolling...don't buy a 240z, ones that are worth saving are too much, look for a 260z.
Also don't swap an rb or sr20 unless you have piles of cash you would have no qualms with setting on fire. And if the thought of a 2jz swap crosses your mind, kys

I'm in California so it needs to be 75 and below so I can mod without big brother looking. No not trolling

That's why he said to get a 260.
They're more of less the same as a 240 but nobody wants them so they're comparatively dirt cheap.

...260Z's were only sold for the 1974 model year. 280Z's were first available in 1975. Please do your research.
