I got a massive fine the other day for failure to stop at a red light. It was at a intersection with me turning right, there's constant cars driving past you on the opposite lane up until the light turns red so you have to turn when it's red. I'd have obstructed traffic from the right of me if I'd stayed there, reckon I can contest it?

you fucked
No you dumb fuck, you stop at red lights.
>you have to
Wrong, you chose to. You could have gone up to the next block, made 3 lefts, and been on the same street. You could have waited for traffic to be clear and not run the red light. You chose to break the law, got caught, and now you can't take responsibility and are trying to blame others for your own actions. How does it feel to be the stereotypical millennial whiner?

You can see in the first picture I'm already over the line though.
You should all be fined for driving left of center wtf
>that 1990s A E S T H E T I C S
I'm glad they haven't changed cameras.

Maybe. Don't be an aggressive asshole and you stand a decent chance of at least getting the fine reduced to something reasonable.

no chance
if it's a turn-when-clear signal you must wait for the vehicle in front to clear the intersection before you can move forward of the stop line, im guessing you moved forward when it turned orange
if you had reversed back over the stop line... maybe
but the fact is there was already a car turning when you moved forward and that means you are in the wrong in the eyes of the law. you would only aggravate the judge

where is this?

I don't think this would hold up in the U.S. because most states have laws about legally clearing the intersection if you're in it. Plus they have to take two images, one of you behind the stop line when it's red and one within the intersection to prove that you ran the light.
But Australia? Not sure how the laws are down there. You're probably fucked m8
