I just got out of tech school and got a job as a mechanic making 60k a year, I own a house and want a nice car. I want a 2000s porsche cayman, would this be a good idea or am I just stupid. Btw I live in sc so cost of living is dirt cheap.
How much are they? I hear theyre actually decent to maintain.

Good car. Comfortable enough to drive daily, fun enough for the weekend.
Reliable as far as sports cars go as well, and practical because two trunks.
Just be prepared to spend a fair bit if something breaks, and make sure you (and previous owners) keep/kept up on maintenance.

Pretty solid car if you keep up on preventative maintenance

Honestly just get a 911 if you want a Porsche

Engine in the wrong place

people who say this usually have never driven a Cayman, Boxster, or even a 911.

why would you buy a car with inferior engine placement?
