Well, that's because the internet forums and chat zones have evolved to ban persistent trolls or even call the FBI down upon them after the online commerce laws were updated. There are few places left that people can express themselves openly without ban. So of course they come to 4chan.
Think about it. If 4chan was gone, where could you talk freely without something a forum ban, your ISP account, or you in real life?
