I just had a muffler installed on my car, but when I reach ~80-100km/h the sound goes back to the way it normally was before I put the muffler on.
Is this normal? It's pretty loud up until I reach 80km/h

I'm pretty sure the sound is dependent on the RPMs and not the speed
>>17227862
You sure you're not getting wind noise that's drowning out the muffler?

this
OP you are retarded
Sound is also dependent on the amount of throttle not just RPM alone. If you are crusing then you are likely not using much throttle.
>>17227873
Yeah I thought so too, but it's loudest when it's at 2-3k RPM. When it's at 5k+ it's not as loud.

I tried accelerating with both the window open and closed, and it was the same.
>>17227891
Yeah that's the weird thing, it's at its loudest when I'm only barely pushing down the accelerator.
>>17227891
That's the same thing isn't it? More throttle = more RPMs right?
>>17227898
Resonant frequency. My exhaust is loudest at 1,100RPMs and 2,100 RPMs. Once it gets to about 4,000 I hear more engine than exhaust.

Yeah that's pretty much the same for me. So it's normal then?
oh look, a faggot with a fart can
noisy annoy fucks
I key any car I see with these or kick off the side view mirrors*

________
*poster does not do this
**merely a suggestion
>>17228084
Yeah, most mufflers are designed to do this to avoid drone on long drives.
>>17228084
yes, my car also does this. (not same person)

Did you just place footnotes on a 4chan post?
