>I bet you he's got more than a 100k under the hood of that car
Realistically, how much money can you put into a s2k?
>>17209597
As much as you want
Pretty sure you can build a full s2k race motor (with NOS BRO) for under 30k with no problem. Then again a stock s2k with a fat guy driving could still beat a jetta
You could probably fit quite a bit of cash in the glove box

I'd say you could drop $40-50k under-hood if you got a built motor, turbo setup, and standalone ECU, especially if you paid someone to wrench and tune it.
Nowhere near $100k in 2001bux but it's a movie and they were trying to shock the audience into understanding that it was a losing race.

15k paintjob Wtf?
A local shop does paintjobs for $900
Saw one guy who put over 100k into an el camino to turn it into a show/drag car after he got some massive insurance settlement
Massive tires, massive blower, whole engine bay was chrome everywhere, just an amazing waste of money but cool nonetheless.

Yeah, but will they paint your caprice classic up to look like a box of Newports?
