/o/ what do you think of 90's thunderbirds?
Personally i love them.

nigger car

If Initial D was in the US, Mako and Sayuki would have one.
Takumi would probably be in a Chevette.
>>17193734
The super coupe is nice. Would love to build one.
>>17194362
Its an accepted fact that American Takumi would drive a foxbody mustang
I'd rather have the Lincoln 2bh. The Thunderbird and Cougar seem to have a rather terrible interior. And by terrible I don't mean badly designed, it simply looks god awfully cheap.

Facelift is okay, too. Plus all Lincolns came with the Modular V8, no need to weed out any V6s.
>>17193734
I like them, but I would only touch the V8's
>b-but muh supercoupe!
fuck your shit essex V6. The V8 is the model to get for modding.

Mustang and corolla are not comparable wtf. Not culturally, not mechanically.
He'd be in a ford escort

My dad still owns his 86 TBird
It was the top-of-line, so this car is looaadded with really cool gadgets. Still in great condition It rides great and runs smooth. Def more of a cruiser.
I would only recommend up to 1989

These seem to really be coming into their own. I don't think they'll ever become expensive, but the prices have been rising. Problem is finding a nice clean example.

that lincoln phat

Reminder that the last gen of the t-bird (before the retro model) was based on the Lincoln LS chassis and handles surprisingly well. The IRS 8.8" is great for customs also.
>>17197048
No, the tbirds and mark viii were based on the mn-12 chassis, the ls is based on the dew-98 platform. While mn-12 and dew-98 fulfill the same roles they are entirely separate designs made almost a decade apart.

I spent almost a year looking for a clean 93 mark viii and I still ended up with a car that needed a fair bit of bodywork and interior restoration. If you want one more sooner more better because for every 1 for sale 3 more are being parted sadly

>old as dirt
>cheap
>liftback/hatchback variants
>not fast at all by today's standards
>not the same as an 86 because anon said so
>>17193734
>dem seats
Soooo comfy.
>>17198108
I'm the anon that said mako and sayuki would have the thunderchicken. I wrote chevette in my post because it was an econobox that also had a semi sporty trimline available, like the AE86 had.
Mustang was marketed as an actual sports car unlike the 86. Maybe if takumihad a Supra, the Mustang would be more comparable.
I have a mint no rust 92' lx bird, I'm sad that it's auto though but for 3k who cares.
