The new GT is literally built off of the blueprints for a purpose-built racecar. It is going against cars that were built to be road cars first and foremost. It's built from carbon fiber, and has the engine straight out of a prototype racer. Not to mention that it has race car aero, pushrod suspension, and a super low and tight center of gravity/inertia.

Seriously if this car didn't win races it would be Ford's biggest fuck up since the turbo Foxbody's.
