all they do is look at your windshield and check your light and charge you $25 to do it.
>>
>>17175265
Dont forget that they joyride your car.
>>
>>17175265
Well, maybe they should've made them stricter if they had wanted them to actually make a difference.

thats the point m8. it was bullshit and they finally got rid of it.

I did, that's why I'm asking you to stop. Thanks

The roadworthy certificates here are actually fucked.

Fucker didn't even turn my car on to inspect it. Could have gotten a roadworthy with a blown headgasket for all he cared.

But he uses multiple devices replying to himself to get the ball rolling, sad!
>>
>>17175273
What kind of inspection are you getting where they drive your car? The car doesn't even have to be running to get inspected
>>
Guys as somebody who is from dallas, I have two things to say about this.

1: >>17175315

Is right. I got a road certificate on an old maxima that sounded like a dying cat, had faulty brakes, and no ac system to speak of. I honestly can say that that car was probably less than 5,000 miles away from utterly failing and killing me or someone else. The road certificates are utter garbage.

2: On the other hand, I don't even need to know the exact relationship. The last name huffines is a big car dealership in plano. Kinda fuckin funny that a car dealership sponsors getting rid of certificates? I wonder why...
>>
>>17175468
Funny enough I know exactly who and what you are talking about, how about an honest answer on why you spend 12-14 hours a day shitposting on a board you know little about. Just curious about what motivates /o/'s biggest sperg

remember how nissan needed a 2015 model GTR to beat a 2010 model dodge (lmao) by less than 4(roflmao) seconds?

yes and the R33 GT-R clocked 7:59 and 8:01 lmao

Pointless legislation since, as many have pointed out, safety inspections are bullshit and cars with no business being on the road were getting passed for no reason.

The safety inspections barely matter.

Half the stuff below would get you gigged by the cops anyways. Try driving near a cop without using a blinker, headlights, or a seat belt. Try driving around without steering or tires in general.

>05.01 Inspect Every Passenger Car For: (Listed in suggested order of inspection)

1. Horn
2. Windshield Wipers
3. Mirror
4. Steering
5. Seat Belts
6. Brakes (system) (Parking - beginning with 1960 models)
7. Tires
8. Wheel Assembly
9. Exhaust System
10. Exhaust Emission System (beginning with 1968 models)
11. Beam Indicator (beginning with 1948 models)
12. Tail Lamps (2); (1) if 1959 model or earlier
13. Stop Lamps (3) 1986 and newer; (2) if 1960-1985; (1) if 1959 model or earlier
14. License Plate Lamp (1)
15. Rear Red Reflectors (2)
16. Turn Signal Lamps (beginning with 1960 models)
17. Head Lamps (2)
18. Motor, Serial, or Vehicle Identification Number
19. Gas caps on vehicles 2-24 model years old
20. Window Tint.

Emissions will still be a thing in the cities. The main reason anyone fails inspection as it is are CEL from dumbass sensors.
>>
>>17175872
>Emissions will still be a thing in the cities.
They never started that in the San Antonio area and hopefully they don't start now.
>>
>>17175996
It's useless anyways.

You're really just getting fucked by CEL's, so you have to spend $300 replacing some fucking sensor that does very little for the health of the environment.

And if you really don't want to fix it, you can find some Mexican quick lube place to pass you for $20.
