I sat in a new hatchback at an auto show a couple months ago and I could barely even fit inside. There was a small section running down the roof that was a tiny bit higher so I could only move my head about 1 inch to each side or I would hit the roof. I'm not even that tall, only 6'1.

I'll take instant shifts, better acceleration and better mpg over manuals any day. Granted, a auto in a low hp shitbox has no place because it would feel slower since you are involved less with the car.
And I would never touch an auto car (modern included) that dont have at least 7 gears+.
