Apparently the chassis is on point as well, and those engines can make much more power relatively easily.
Only downsides I can see are the cheap feeling interior, completely useless trunk and the fact that it's right around the same price as a Boxster S.

iirc there's whole companies based on aftermarket for the ecotec engines that all these cars came with

I've owned 2 generations of Celicas. 1981 GT and a 2000 GTS. The 2nd and Last. I would kill for a First Gen Celica GT (77' in USA) Fastback, thats unmolested and isnt a rust pile.

Now I Drive only Subarus. I Had the First and Last Gens of the Leone (74' D
L) and a Loyale Wagon (94') First Gen Impreza OBS, and First and Last Gens Foresters.

Would love to Have a Subaru 360 and 360 Microvan.

I don't ever want to own one because they're kinda shitty and maintenance is a bitch but they're so damn CUTE. They're also cheap and they're all over used car search engines, which means a lot of people regret owning them.

Real talk...

I may go buy this over the weekend for a fun car. My questions are simple:

1.) What's the aftermarket like for the 2.5rs if I don't want to do any swaps?
2.) Did I just make a huge fucking mistake by drawing attention to this gem?

Ha, bring money if you want the hardtop. That was only in production for one, maybe two years iirc. They planned to make more but GM pulled the plug on Plastiac. Shame too, to was turning into Ameriholden and I could use some Ute in my life
>>
>>17153558
It was only made for 1 model year, 2009, and I think less than 1000 were built. But yea. Bring money.... then bring more money. The hardtops have held their value due to their rarity.

Fiat Coupe isn't actually that regular, the 20v turbo literally tries to kill you at every opportunity.

I chirped the tires just driving from traffic lights.

Need to overtake? Here have some wheelspin

Oh it's cold today? Here have a freezing metal dash

There's a turn? Hold on while I torquesteer everywhere.

Something about this generation of Celica always looked weird to me. Like, I feel like I should think it looks good but it doesn't. If it were a girl, she'd be a 7.5 in bar lighting after a few drinks but a solid 4 with no make up. And she just cakes it on and wears too much eyeliner and draws big thick fake youtube makeup tutorial eyebrows and wears strong cheap perfume and is actually not even that nice to you.

You know what I mean? Something about the design looks good, but also it doesn't look good. I've thought about this Celica a lot.

The generation before it looks so much better, pic related. SHE is the real deal.

I have one: 210hp V6, it drives nicely, more than most people expect.

Steering rack is quite slow and suspension is more gear toward confort but it does handle.

The Lexus SportCross was one of these for me.
Fell in love with the compromise they made between cargo volume and styling as well as the goddamn-near-perfect chassis.
So I bought one. Even if I were to win a million dollars, I'd never get rid of it, unless it was to buy another one with lower mileage.

Toyota Paseo

Its got a great little sporty look. Just look at it; It's begging to be redlined (while trying to reach highway speeds).

You can get a Saab 95 for next to nothing now though. That car in the picture would go for like $4500 here in the states in good condition.
