Costs too much. They can't make any money on it in the US. The price of a polo GTI in Deutschland is almost the price of a Golf GTI here in the US.

That's because Germany recieves German built Volkswagens (for the most part) and German labor is expensive. Most VW sold in the US are built in Mexico or in the US itself utilizing cheaper labor. A North American Polo would probably be built in Mexico and thus cheaper than a Euro Polo.
