I live in Euro-no-fun-zone and here you get taxed for car weight and gas is insanely pricey.
So I need a lightweight shitbox, with good mpg, which is reliable. Preferably a sedan.
Currently rocking a 460 shitbox (only 995 kg), but it's dying slowly.
What do you recommend besides moving out of this shit hole?

I know it's not a sedan, but
>sub-900kg
>500-1000 eurobucks
>drinks next to no fuel
>stupidly simple, almost nothing to break
>when it breaks parts cost as good as nothing anyway
>versatile as fuck interior
>>17136433
I'm literally open to anything but a Twinko
>>17136423
90s civic or corolla
>>17136443
Then just get a Golf/Polo/Jetta/Bora like every cunt around here.

Early 2000s Suzuki Swift (sedan) on LPG
No extra (LPG) tax because under 850kg
Gas 40% the price of gasoline.

Audi 80 is always the answer.

>searching for a shitbox
>not wanting the ultimate comfy mobile
Dude are you retarded or something? Take the yellow bus like the other tards then.

Not him, but it's a really ugly car with a shitty interior and dubious reliability.
It's cool as a meme, but you have to separate memes from your personal life.
>>17136831
he said a lightweight car with good mpg and reliable
>>17136478
late 90s maybe, but early 90s corollas were quite the fuel guzzlers, and they're not compatible with E10, which might be an issue where OP lives, basically you have to run on 98, which is around 1.5€/L.

It the latter two categories perfectly and it is decently lightweight, it's 2700lbs

>Golf 3 or Vento if you insist on sedan
>Octavia 1
>Either the 1.4L petrol ( marginally thirstier than the 1.9tdi but bulletproof ) or the 1.9tdi ( marginally more economical than the 1.4L petrol but more maintainance intensive )
>Dacia Logan/Renault Clio 2/3 with the 1.5dci engine. Logan doesn't have galvanised bodywork so it's prone to intense rust sessions.
>The Renault Clio Symbol is an incredibly cheap and incredibly sturdy car, even if it's french. A true agrarian car built for every situation. Either the 1.4L petrol or the 1.5dci
>Daewoo Cielo if your budget is 300 euros tops.
>Opel Astra G with the 1.7cdti engine - a sturdy but very spartan work car. Also very cheap to buy and run.
>VW Passat B4 1.9tdi 90 bhp because why the hell not ? You can't get more car ( literally ) for this money.
I'd go for the Golf 3 or the Clio Symbol, they are tough cars that are tough to beat at their price range. Golf 3 if you want something marginally sturdier and the Clio Symbol if you want something newer.
i'm sure i can come up with more options

Thanks bruhs, good suggestions, I'll look into these.
I love the perks of living in a "first world" tax hellhole

seconding the B4, and adding the 2.slow to the list because it's near indestructible
T O Y O T A
C O R O L L A
not a sedan, but K11 Micra
Did your country get the Cobalt XFE? Like 50mpg+ if you short shift the fuck out of it. You might actually survive a crash in it too.

>not getting a turbo pic related
good MPGs on the highway (i get 13 kpl in a wagon), shit in the city
but 1,385–1,520 kg so probably too heavy
