if miatas are built for grip, why do autists insist on turning them into drift cars?
>>
because they are dumb. it's well known that the miata isn't a good drift car. the wheelbase and weight distribution is better suited for handling. something like a 240 is much better

they aren't

you can thank youtubers like Haggard Garage for that.

Also video games like Forza and the such.

In order to get the Miata to properly drift you have to spend more money on it than you would for a 240sx.

>every rwd car is meant to drift
you're part of the problem

You right they aren't built for "grip" but they are better suited for track racing as opposed to drifting due to the short wheelbase. Mazda made the car to be a small, lightweight, rwd car that could handle well.

It wasn't made to go sideways for sure. Especially with the 1.6l or 1.8l
>>
>>17087360
i never said that

they have skinny tires and even the newer ones are designed deliberately to have limited grip.
>>
>>17087399
What did you think they were made for if not for spirited driving aka GRIP driving?

Are you implying its impossible to keep grip in a stock 1.6l miata w/ its stock tires?
>>
>>17087355
no, it's actually /o/ that's behind it all

50% are faggots that love mx5
other 50% are normal
>>
because people that drive slow cars drift instead of going fast
>>
>>17087318
I don't know. They make terrible drift cars, short wheelbase and whatnot.
>>
Because the autists have run out of easily accessible 240SXs to crash, so now they're moving on to whatever other RWD import coupes they can find (Miatas, 3-series BMWs, MR2s, etc etc etc) so they can cut springs and fuck up the steering angle and Dagumi straight into a guardrail.
