>These are the factory exhaust welds on a new $37k Buick Lacrosse
How can GM still believe they can compete?
Those bolts look like hell
>>17075519
>new
It's already leaking oil.
>>17075519
yea the welds are bad
but what the fuck is up with the routing of the exhaust
>straight down
>90 deg angle forward
>180 deg to head towards back of car
>>17075519
Must have been a Friday car
>>17075541
its like they just used whatever extra pieces of pipe they had sitting around kek
>>17075541
Pulse tuning. Pipes are an equal length from the cat. Just another example of GM excellence in engineering.
>>17075519
>New
>Slightly Rusted
fucking what
>>17075570
>pulse tuning
Does nothing unless it's a 2 stroke.
>>17075519
Not the best cosmetically, but they're properly welded nonetheless
>>17075570
>gm fangirl pretends to know things
>>17075582
That oxidation isn't abnormal for mild steel on things like exhausts.
>>17075582
It's called salt. Go to any new car lot in a salty place and look underneath. Every car or truck will have some surface rust like that. It's not a big deal. Most new cars sitting on the lot have rust coating the brake rotors. It's not a big deal.
>>17075519
Woow, American FCA must have some real quality issues, I have a 3y old Fiat and it doesn't come even close to that pic. Must be a lemon car.
>>17075662
I bet you've had lots of time to look underneath it while it's on the lift.
>>17075519
This is what's left of the exhaust on my car
>>17075519
>why don't the welds on this piece that 99.9% of people will never see meet my autistic standards
>>17075686
The welds are shit. Shit welds means poor performance and lots of failures
>>17075541
The pipes must be equal length before they join. Basic exhaust tuning, bro.
>>17075712
meme
the more straight exhaust the better
>>17075712
BRUMBRUMBRUMBRUMBRUMBRUMBRUMBRUMBRUM

>>17075519
Isn't buick just opel
way to go germans
>>17075924
Sort of, it's on the same platform as an Opel Insignia, just the Americans extended the wheelbase on it, changed the sheet metal, and redesigned the interior.
>>17075712
Bull the hell crap you say. I have dual catalytic converters, then left side (driver's side in US) has long cross over meet up with right side pipe, before going to muffler; factory. Exhaust is well tuned. The key is not GM.
>>17075519
is OP implying $37k is a lot? or that you need nice welds on a shitty family sedan exhaust?
not sure i see the problem as long as they don't leak
Here's the C7 Z06 exhaust
>>17076854
Dude that's like C-class money: the definition of luxury
>>17075662
>Buick
>FCA
R u retarded?
