Western Europe sucks for car enthusiasts, here we have pretty heavy taxes for displacement and co2 (an old 5000€ used bimmer can cost 7500€ in registration), plus car inspections are quite punitive, no swap, no lowering of any kind, the stuff they allow is quite comical. My car is registered as a tuner car because I have 195 tires instead of 185, as well as a tiny hatch spoiler, which really looks like stock, and I'm pretty sure it is.

There's also noise regulations, and the fuel prices are insane.

But sometimes their lack of knowledge can pay off, a friend of mine registered an imported ek9 as a D14 ej9.
