Couldn't get the wheel bearing done but my buddy fixed some other stuff for me.

I didn't even ask him to do these particular things so I'm super appreciative of it. He's the sole maintenance guy for this apartment complex that is all one bedroom. Been there for over 10 years and his boss gave him that garage to do all his car shit in. I like the idea of a new modern CRX although hybrid it's still just as powerful as the old ones right? Power to weight, I'd say it's probably slower. But it has all of the torque at 1k RPM so it's easy to short shift to save on gas, so much so I've been averaging 40 em pee gees even though it isn't rated for that. Newer ones, 2013+, have slightly more power because of a lithium-ion battery pack (130hp/140ftlbs vs 122hp/128ftlbs) and the Sport+ feature which I have yet to figure out. Even I haven't found any major issues online with people going well over 100k. I would recommend you get the facelift models 2013-2016 if you can, because more power and the back-up camera is surprisingly handy.

My only three complaints so far are:

>Can't see over the hood
>When the engine is off from Stop/Start it only starts up again if you shove the clutch pedal all the way to the floor

Honda's been weird with the Zed. A former Honda service advisor told me they've only seen two different cars come in for regular maintenance, and three dealers told me the same thing about how none of them carry information pamflets about the car because they only got two per model year.

There are other companies like HKS that make supercharger kits, forged pistons and rods, but no OEM warranty though.

How bad is it to wait until redline before shifting?

Merging onto the freeway from the ramp is rough because the speed limit is 75.
Basically it's:
- come down ramp at ~25mph
- shift down into second
- start accelerating
- redline in 2nd, shift into 3rd
- redline in 3rd, shift in the 4th
- get to ~5000 rpm in 4th before I'm up to speed, shift into 5th

The ramp to get on the freeway is a downward-sloping circle with about 100 feet of merge space after you get off.
