5.5 liter in the 2007-2010 CLS550 AMG. Sounds quiet and subdued when just putting around but has a monstrous throaty roar when throttled up.

Does anyone know if it has the timing chain issues or not? I've heard they upgraded the tensioners to metal or something. Other than that it's just carbon buildup which is expensive but routine maintenance on these things.

Both my 2v and 4v have flowmaster 40s. The 4v is also running ~20 psi, the sound is better than anything I've ever heard.
