What are /o/'s thoughts on W203s? About to pull the trigger

I test drove a C230 with a manual once. The later 2.5 V6 one. It was nice. Not fast at all, but nice.

I currently have a 2007 c280, I really like it. Might upgrade to a new c300 soon

Currently own 2002 c240. I treat it like shit and it still runs strong at 178k. I was surprised at how much neglect it can actually take, being evil German after all.

Honestly id rate the car overall 7/10. There are things i wish it did better but it doesnt do anything badly.

Smooth ride, smooth shifts, stock subwoofer, neat button that slams down the rear headrests(no practical reason other than to scare friends because it makes a loud noise), electronic rear window visor, locking gas tank cover, back seats have a lot more leg room than youd expect. Steering wheel goes up and down as well as telescopes.

Rear air vents, etc

My only complaint really is the seats are not comfortable for driving more than 2 or so hours, so long road trips will leave you wishing you brought a pillow to sit on.

Overall 10/10 positive experience with this car. Would buy again. Has made me rethink Mercedes bad rep

Slow. Also steering was super heavy for no good reason

A friend of mine who is a dealer took in a 2004 c240 with 290k miles on it and I drove it once, this was back when I had my 2002. That car still drove like a new one, body was beat to shit but engine ran great

Yeah, ill give you that. The steering is pretty heavy. When I get in my sisters civic it surprises me every time how light the steering wheel is.

But it's not a decision maker on any car. When I see people complain about menial things, it makes me realize how much I let other peoples opinions on super minor things influence my opinions.

The steering is heavy, yes, but it literally makes no difference. If anything, its crazy stable at speed because of it.
