Hey /o/. Currently driving a 93 Civic that has reached 200k miles last week and looking to upgrade. I make about 34k gross per year. I've been looking at these 4 cars and need advice as to is better buying used or new?? I'm the type that will keep a car until the motor blows. I want a newer car cause it would be nice to have a/c.

Are you by any chance black?

Also out of those listed I'd get the focus, but they're all shit in complete honesty and you would be throwing away your money. Get another used 3k civic. If you're going to spend 15k on a car you should get your money's worth.
>>
I would not get a Chrysler 200, it's an old platform already discontinued. Nor would I get a fwd hatchback if you plan on keeping long term.

The Chrysler 300 and Charger are great cars. But you know what's better? Getting the same thing with a V8 and manual for the same price. http://www.davesmith.com/used/Dodge/2011-Dodge-Challenger-45ab6f870a0e0aea7ed8e035cf1803ef.htm

I would get the Charger 392 which is enough power for me, and for fun, but just want a DD right now. I know the ones I posted are V6's which I'm fine with right now.

>it's enough power

No. No it's not. Do not go through life with that sad excuse. Indulge a little. Every day you'll hear that V8 start up and run. The power will be there whenever you need or want it. Not to mention actually being able to fit in at car shows/meets and being a car enthusiast in general. If you can really afford a 392, I would. But the 5.7 is also a good choice for a DD.

If you really need a "practical" reason, V8 Air Conditioning is ten times better.

I would if i wasn't also considering going back to school for a career. Also, I want to see what the Dodge Demon has to offer. But yes, I test drove the Hellcat outta curiosity and it was amazing. Right now I want to start out "decent" since this will be my first new/newer car and don't want to flop. Is it ever a good reason to buy new?

How the fuck are you considering a Demon yet settling with a V6 Charger? The Hellcat and Demon are too ridiculous for a DD. A 392 is just fine. A 5.7 R/T is just a few thousand more than a V6.

Buying a new V8 isn't a terrible choice, they maintain value a lot better than the V6. Nobody wants the V6 and they plummet in value.
>>
>>17008314
The V6 is going to be used as a DD, while the Demon (if i get it) will be used as a summer(fun) car. I'm still keeping the Civic since it's been well maintained as well.
>>
>>17008356
Or just get a 392 or 5.7 as a DD and fun car.
>>
>>17008285
Buy a clean civic for 3k. You don't make enough especially if you're gonna be paying for school.
>>
>>17008368

What's your take on this one? Pricewise, mileage and such I could probably pay this off within a year. Maybe a little over.

I realize that, anon. Hence why I posted cheaper cars in my original post.
>>
>>17008399
It would be pretty good. With the 8 speed and cylinder deactivation you'll find that it won't really use up that much more gas than the V6. And it'll hold it's value better than a V6.
>>
>>17008399
No. No chrysler products they're shit and only bought new by niggers. You want to buy a used car that was primarily bought new by well-educated people.
