Is it a bad idea for your first car to have no power-steering?

it's easier when the car is moving faster

I prefer no power steering on light cars since it gives better steering feel

Just do more than 5mph and you're good.

Once you get above maybe 5-10mph it really feels similar to if you had power steering, only you feel a bit more in control I guess. Steering will be a bit heavier but it is fun once you get up to speed, it's not hard at all
No power steering sucks in parking lots though, especially if your vehicle is heavy
