Not who you were talking to, but how does one "double up" on oil filter gaskets? Doesn't the filter just come with a built in rubber gasket and you just put a bit of oil on it and put it up, filling with oil obviously. When could anyone put another gasket or something on? Oil chainging isn't rocket science

Hasn't happened yet and probably won't because I'm not some monkey with a wrench. The only place I can see the "second" gasket being is sticking to the oil filter hub which you should wipe down with a paper towel anyways to remove any gunk or oil residue. You don't have to be an ass about it.
