This is it b/o/ys, THIS IS IT.
I got DESTROYED by a VW Transporter at a red light. Not a minivan, a Transporter. My jimmies were so rustled I sped off in anger, teeth clenched, shifting at the red line till I reached 230 and then it just wouldn't go any faster, even with the AC off.

I'm so fucking pissed right now, I NEED boost. I need 250rwhp at the bare fucking least.

HKS or Vortech supercharger?

Should've fucking taken my dad's offer and let him chip to buy the Cayman instead of being proud and buying this slowcar on my own.

>>
Just stick in a 2GR-FSE and call it a day
>>
>>16952856
I'm aiming for 0-60 in around 5 seconds and top speeds ideally upward of 165 mph. I know the 280 bhp Vortech kit is good for 5.4s and 164 mph, so a slightly more aggressive tune should do the trick, if not, half a second give or take, who cares at the end of the day...

The fastest 86 I personally know has a turbo kit and roughly 300 bhp and clocked in at 5.07s 0-60.

Both not available in my country. TÜV wouldn't allow it, even if I paid the horrendous import tax.

It's not always about speed, takashi. It's how fast you get around those corners, why have a powerful car when you can't use it to it's full potential in the short straightaways.
>>
>>16952958
Because all the other cars go faster around the corners. Speed and power is a huge part of getting around corners quickly. The brz has no significant agility because it has no power to make it agile

Dont even try and pull that "track day" bullshit either. Tracks have straightaways:
>>
>>16952718
false flag thread.
Nobody who buys toyobaru and leaves it stock is interested in drag races. And they wouldn't get salty over it because they, unlike the bench racers, know what the car is for.
>>
>>16952995

A GT86 with dedicated performance summer tires can keep up with much faster cars on a track.
>>
>>16953032
I have Michelin PSSs on the stock wheels and my friend with a 280bhp hothatch can't keep up with my otherwise stock GT86 on a twisty road. Torque frequently shows slightly upward of 1g in the corners.
>>
>>16953041

I wish the Sport 4S would launch in Canada, the PSS are way too expensive. I was looking into getting Hankook Ventus V12s but I'll wait until stock tires die.
>>
>>16953059
I pad 480 bucks for a set of PSSs, when I learned the PS4S doesn't come in small sizes.

>>
>>16952771

We used to have a 2.8 T5 which we fitted a larger turbo to and had remapped. It was about 190hp at the front wheels, and was crazy fast up to about 80, then it petered off. Was hilarious baiting boy racers in shit boxes, then destroying their dreams in this tatty old van.

You can put decent tires on any car and it improves performance.
The point is spending that much on the pathetically underpowered "sports" car is undeniably retarded.

>>
>>16953439
You can't just slap grippy tires on anything and expect great results. You think that a fucking Fiat Multipla with slicks is going to pull the same cornering speeds as a 918? No, retard. You need the chassis rigidity and suspension balance to make sure the car can handle the high cornering G's. Luckily the GT86 has a very good chassis so it does just fine with high grip tires.

No you fucking faggot retard.
New cars have heavier chassis also because of new safety regulations.
A sports car from the early 90s/late 80s still had good chassis but less weight and more power because they didn't get cucked bu regulations.
You don't know shit about cars and that's why you invested so much in a slow chinkbox.

>If nurburgring isn't twistes
That's either a funny way to spell Tsukuba or long straights. Yes, the turns are elaborate, complex and difficult for the driver, but you can't gain even nearly as much time in the corners as you can on the flat out passages. Power, top speed and getting there fast is more important on the Burgerking than cornering ability.

Works Turbo kit. Superchargers are old hat now due to parasitics from the drive system. If you don't want to figure out how to map turbo systems properly just get their CARB compliant kit which comes with a map you can flash.

Why the fuck would you swap a 4L N/A V8 with no real forced induction and an ECU that has never been cracked? I love the 1UZ but just fucking LS swap it if you want a V8.

R33 had ~330 horsepower (no boost restrictor) for that test probably. Suspension is stiff on the GT-R VSpecs, 4-5 kg/mm is 40-50 N/mm. 55/45 weight distribution is a lot better than the 38/62 distribution in the 993 Turbo or 40/60 in the 996/997 Turbos. Weight is somewhere in the region of 3200 pounds so it was comparable to the 996 Turbo there. Aero was pretty decent for its time, minor front lift and decent rear downforce. AWD + long wheelbase meant it was fairly stable as well.

People kind of underestimate the R33 because it's the "red-headed stepchild" and looks soft/pigfat. But stock it was much faster than the R32. The R34 with the Nismo R1 engine (R34 N1 turbos) was significantly faster than the 996 Turbo.

>Works Turbo kit
Not available/legal in my country. I'll gladly trade a couple kWs for the linear power delivery of a supercharger. I'm an automotive engineer, mapping for a turbo doesn't intimidate me at all, but installing a simple supercharger in front of the engine, instead of a turbo down near the exhaust header to get an acceptable delay, seems orders of magnitude easier. And I don't want to pay someone to do it for me.

Police looks under the hood even once and it gets crushed, along with my license and wallet. Young driver in a red exotic sportscar, illegal modifications are an absolute no-go.

I dont hate any cars really, they all have their merits. What is dumb is being stupid about numbers.

Yes, how do you rate it? I'm biased because I live less than 10 miles away but I think a solid 7/10 because minimal cyclists, never any cops or traffic.

Obviously, intercooler and oil cooler are a given, might as well get a beefier cooler for the engine while I'm at it, we get pretty hot summers.
As you said, the fuel pump is good for high 200s, but higher than that and a fuel pump will be the cheapest of my problems, considering the clutch and transmission can't take much over 300bhp, not to mention the wear on the high compression engine. TJ Cunt even had to replace the drive shafts on his supercharged BRZ with the built motor.

I very much feel like the 280 to 300 range is the sweet spot, after which you get diminishing returns. It's still stupidly expensive compared to how cheap you get that kind of power in other cars from the factory.

It's horrendously bad anywhere outside the Bürgerking. A friend who owns one of every single gen GTI ever made, a AWD diesel Golf as a DD and has a Golf as a company car wanted to buy a Clubsport. He had the money, but getting to buy one was a lottery. Comparing the time of THAT to a car that's been set up for bumpy backroads with prius tires is absolutely fucking retarded. But yeah, that's why my friend with the 280 bhp hothatch can't keep up with my 86 on the twisties, his car was set up specifically for the Bürgerking as well.

The Nurburgring is a high speed track, with 200mph+ straight aways, of course the 86 is going to be shit there. It's designed for drifting, or very tight winding tracks.

I can't help but feel like the OP was barely more than a comical representation of how /o/ THINKS the average 86 driver is. I don't think OP even owns the car, or has ever driven it for that matter.
