How to choose next bike? My mind is saying getting something cheap and smol (R3, versys 300x), because cheap on gas and insurance, practical, plus it'll be adequate for the job. My heart says fuck that shit, and get that newer faster, more expensive bike (xsr900, gsxs1000, r1200r, street triple 765, and probably more that I'm forgetting)

Honestly, for commuting it's fine, for highway a bit bigger would be nice, just a bit. a 150cc is just that slight bit better that it makes highway use a lot less sketchy, what are the speeds you need to get to? becasue if you intend to do a lot of highway riding then getting something a bit bigger is recommended.


a 125 has a top speed of around 100-110 depending on a few factors like wind and bodyweight, but in countries like Australia where that's the top legal speed of roads anyway it's 100% viable as long as you're fine with never over taking anybody and riding at the bike's absolute limit (which is pretty fun).
