>fast charging batteries that don't wear like regular fast charging batteries
Fast charging does almost no additional damage to your battery. The main concern during fast charging is preventing the battery from overheating. That's what causes damage to the cells. The only people who think fast charging causes damage to your battery are ifags who still have to wait 2 hours for their phones to fully charge.

Lucids factory is actually being built as we speak

>What does /o/ think of lucid motors?
Full of exaggerations like all typical chinese companies. It's probably using a lot of ripped off tech and scammed tech. Dubious claims that they have fast charging batteries that don't wear like fast charging batteries is a typical chinese circular logic approach in china.

>Lucids factory is actually being built as we speak

That's a lie. Construction was scheduled to start after the 2nd quarter of 2017. They were still talking about buying the land in the first place. I guess some people call that part of the construction process. I call it vapor.

https://www.teslarati.com/land-lucid-motors-arizona-factory-will-reportedly-paid-tax-payers/

Land will be purchased by taxpayers of Arizona for Lucid near Casa Grande (halfway between Tucson and Phoenix).

Financing will be paid by Arizona taxpayers.

Some factory facilities will be paid for by Arizona taxpayers.

Some infrastructure will be paid for by Arizona taxpayers.

Factory will be leased by Arizona to the Lucid corporation with a buy out option provided. Tax credits will be provided.

75% of the first 1.5 million cost of Lucid factory employee training will be paid for by Arizona taxpayers to the Lucid corporation.

Power will be subsidized by Arizona taxpayers.

Lucid can receive up to 5 million USD in additional grant money provided it meets milestones in construction and job creation.

http://www.azcentral.com/story/money/business/economy/2016/11/29/electric-vehicle-company-plans-casa-grande-plant-lucid-motors/94610502/

Lucid will be using Samsung Li-Ion batteries. Parts for the vehicles would be manufactured by suppliers in Sonora, Mexico. So, it looks like this is not a real factory. It assembles the parts kits! And due to desperate Arizona wanting to start any kind of industry, Lucid gets a throwaway facility at low cost risk. That's very "chinese" in negotiating.

Don't you remember the original scandal of their copying tesla?

Atieva is in effect Chinese controlled as they have majority thru Tsing Holdings, LeEco, and Instruments filed through a Japanese bank. Atieva changed its name to Lucid after a grainy photo leak of its prototype car being based upon a Tesla Model S. Basically, Atieva was copying tesla cars and changing the shapes of parts a small amount to make final assembly pass trademark and copyright disputes. But the design and engineering would be very much Tesla except for where the chinese Atieva (Lucid) cheaped out with Chinese shortcuts.

Lucid Motors is a downstream name to shield its assets from claims in case the company cannot pay off lawsuits or sell enough cars to meet operating costs. The intellectual property is owned by separate companies and is merely licensed to Lucid. Various other tools and property are owned by Chinese companies and are rented to Lucid. So if there was a massive lawsuit, it would be against a mostly paper entity since even the land is owned by Arizona.

Citation needed as to why you said that. They are the same company as the chinese owned Atieva. That is quite well documented.

It is 2017 and they have not yet built either parts manufacturing factory or an assembly factory.

Lucid has no battery manufacturing factory of their own. They also aren't known for engineering expertise in materials science or battery design. Lucid said in an interview they will use the same proven Li-Ion battery cell type as Tesla. I bet Lucid will copy Tesla's cell management hardware and software but make some physical changes to make it look different.
>>
Lucid's hood includes quite a bit of the side fenders. So if you opened the hood, a lot of side fender would be lifted upwards as part of the hood. That's sucky design. The hood is also non-aerodynamic. I bet it was not tested in a wind tunnel.

The dual fake air scoops on the hood are an insulting feature for a car whose base model starts at 53K. Other chinese cars have similar fake cosmetic features to make them look more powerful. For example, the picture shows other variations current chinese car designs have on their hoods. Other car makes have fake ports along the sides of their front or rear fenders.
