"Of that time" is the key phrase. Any current Mustang upgrade would work with the car. You could bolt on any piece of Cobra, Mark VIII, GT, etc. & it would fit/work just fine. Have some vision, man.

Great example of the swapablility of the Fox body. That's a Fairmont wagon? With a Mustang front clip? Since they stayed with that body for such a long time, there's a lot of room for crossover.
