>suv
>super reliable
>manual transmission
>can be used or new, but prefer something 8-4 years old with low miles
What can I, as an american, buy that fits these requirements?
>>16905119
4runner
>>16905165
That or oldie Cherokee.
>b-but muh rise in value
This is a meme, you can still find clean examples for 5k or less.
>>16905165
you have to go back to 2002 and earlier models to get a manual transmission.
>>16905171
Lol heep
>>16905165
Good luck finding a manual 4runner in somewhat decent shape
The only other option is a crv and you might as well be a literal cuck
>>16905176
This, the only jeep worth owning is a Wrangler and they fucking suck as a DD.
>>16905185
CRV isnt too gay as long as you know its place, another option is a honda element.
>>16905200
innacity DDing or if you have a few rolling hill shortcuts to get to work
XJs and older wagoneers are pretty solid, too
>>16905119
whats the bottom right
Xterra or FJ Cruiser, or Wrangler. Hummer H3 but that'd be near the limit age wise, and hard to find a low mileage one.
What about the new jeep renegades? I like them for some strange reason.
>>16905713
You're fucking gay?
>>16905722
apparently I must be, I know its gay looking, I know it isnt a real offroad vehicle like a Wrangler but fuck I like it for some reason.
>>16905424
Isuzu VehiCROSS
>>16905119
Fiat 500x
>>16905119
>be American
>want a super reliable SUV with a manual
>buying anything other than a Suburban with some Ford and GM truck parts fitted
It's like you hate America or something.
>>16905119
Older model 4Runner or Xterra...or if you really want a "Prepper" mobile: durable, easy to work on, easy to modify...here's ya Boy:
>>16906100
>he doesn't have a Duramax/ZF6 Suburban
>>16906174
And you will die if you hit someone on a bike. These things couldn't pass the crash test of the mid 70s for godsake.
>>16906201
That sounds pretty fucking nice.
The new Wrangler is supposed to be very reliable. And can be had with a manual.
2000 jeep cherokee
pre 2002 ford explorer
>>16906375
how would anyone know since they just got started making them
>>16906862
http://www.jlwranglerforums.com/confirmed-2018-jeep-wrangler-still-offers-six-speed-manual/
>>16907343
I meant the reliability of it, a wrangler with anything but a manual is a joke.
Jeep Wrangler
I cannot think of anything else not involving a tranny swap or going older.
>>16907383
honda HRV
Look into a 4runner or Xterra. Both can come with a 4wd and stick. pro-4x models come with a rear locker.
>>16906862
that's why I said "supposed to be"
Also new as in 2015+ (which if you know how Jeeps are is pretty impressive to last 2+ years)
I had a 2000 xterra 5 speed 4x4 v6 with 138k I got from a dealer for 5 grand, had it til 160k when my wife wrecked it (fuckin Asians). Only issues it had were a bad fuel sender which caused a no start (known problem, Nissan had a tsb for it forever ago and fixed it for free), the distributor had failed (known problem for high milage xterras, $60 chinesium replacement and 2 hours to replace and retime), and a leaky valve cover gasket ($15 from AutoZone and an hour). Other than that it was totally reliable and quite capable on mild offroading.
>>16905119
3rd Gen 4runner, easy. Just make sure to get the 4x4 witht he v6 and you'll be set.
XJ Cherokees and C1500 Suburbans are pretty nice.
I like my first gen RAV4 buts it fwd in case you care/meme about that
Montero Sport man, you can never go wrong with mitsubishi
>>16909333
Keep in mind these are super cramped inside.
>>16909333
I hate mine.
I'm actually thinking of replacing it with a Xterra.
>>16909362
Its because they're not unibody, and built on a truck frame.
>>16909498
my legs didn't fit under the steering wheel with the seat all the way back. Had to sit bow legged and couldn't shut the door.
