Luxury cars have lost their identity
they use to be large land barges with suspension so soft you wouldn't even feel a speed bump going 60mph, they werent extremely powerful but did have a large v8 with effortless power and got you and your passengers were you needed to go as comfortably as possible. They were meant to shut the world around you off.
Now they are just sports cars with a luxury package

doesn't a rolls royce fit that description pretty well?
>>16900237
Regulations and no one cares for the barges. They're outdated and I like barges too
>>16900237
>Now they are just sports cars with a luxury package
Thank God for that.
But in all seriousness, You only need to look to the german brands, as the old habit of German luxury being sporty and American luxury being landbargy has flipped flopped.

All cars got nicer due to technology improving.
It's not that luxury cars aren't good, they just don't seem like that big of an improvement compared to modern normie cars.

This. OP just mad cause he can only afford "luxury" cars from the 80's whose "luxury" features are now found in every Kia.
>>16900289
modern luxury cars have the same thing that every modern economy shitbox has
only difference is a nicer interior
>>16900289
True, but those 80's "luxury" features are still neater.
>>16900303
name some modern luxury car models
>>16900281
To be fair, the 4.6 Panthers deserve recognition despite the small 281 just for being produced all the way to fucking 2011 in nearly the same damn form. Four doors, four wheels, a body, a frame, eight cylinders, ten bodies in the trunk, and an AARP membership card.
