Transmission blew out at 130K miles.

Totalled a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited Edition with like 66k km on the clock because I was doing 40km downhill and didn't realize how sharp the curve was (speed posted was 50km) and it had just started raining. Ended up in a slide, tried to counter steer, had no knowledge of how AWD works when losing traction, saved it, over corrected, ended up backwards, hit a barrier, need up half on top of it.

Left rear wheel broke off and the rotor shattered, front bumper came off, suspension on the left rear was toast, right rear had a bent control arm, and it was leaking pretty heavy (coolant).

Not fun.

Nearly one. Didn't notice that the oil pumo was failing. Drove it with piston slap for nearly an hour total.

I’ve had a few scrapes and dings though. Living in the city sucks.

1993 Ford Taurus in 2004, high miles and in need of several repairs. Transmission was iffy, not full blown though. Had ice cold working air when I junked it.

1992 Toyota Corolla LE in 2007, 190k, rotten, bought for $100 and jumped several times at farm. Wouldn't work after a while after many jumps, leaking tranny fluid too.

1991 Mazda 323 LX in 2009, rotten frame, overheating, no brakes left, junked it.

1994 Mazda Protege DX possibly in 2018 if it can't past emissions. Frame rotten on one side, burning oil, nearing 300k. If it does pass emissions, depending on future repairs, for sure it will be done by 2020.

My truck was on its last legs at 253k with a slipping tranny. I ended up selling it to this old Hank Hill I work with and now I expect it'll be on the road for another twenty years or more.

1 Totaled, 78 Mercury Marquis, steering rack came apart on the highway, rolled it.
1 Engine, 01 BMW 320D, fuel injector leak caused hydrolock and bent a rod. Car was full of other issues, so I scrapped it.

Got a 95 miata with 70k miles on it. Thought I could race car it and crashed into concrete barrier. Took engine out and put into 96 body with 80k on it. Now I drive like a bitch.

16 years ago, I was 16 at the time, so inexperience didn't help. The steering wheel went limp after a decent "whoop-de-doo" rut in the road and pulled hard to the left, then changed to the right once it hit the dirt shoulder, causing the car to drift with the back wheels still going off the left side of the road. It got enough bite to flip over and eventually stop.

While I was parting the car out afterwards, one of the tie rod ends was snapped and the gear box was cracked in half with all the fluid gone. I had a replacement for the car already lined up because I was about to put it out to pasture because it's crappy 351M engine had very little compression in half of it's cylinders. Luckily all this happened late at night, so no other traffic.

2008 PT Cruiser, 179k miles, blew the auto tranny, put in a manual, engine block split while driving up a hill at 188kmiles

2006 new Beetle turbo. Drove it exclusively in sport mode, ended up tearing apart the driveshafts and front suspension doing burnouts and FWD drifting it with 220k miles.

Another 2006 turbo beetle (manual, this time). rolled it doing 85+ on the highway. Hit a deer that snapped a tie rod, which made me serve, hit a ditch and rolled 2.5 times. I got a black eye and a broken finger. Car only had 120k, so I was bummed.

I have a Yamaha Virago 750 now, no cage :/

The dealership is less than 5 miles from my house, and the cost of their services is less than any of the other places I've asked.
