quads have spoken.
slushboxes eternally btfo

>tfw take corner in manual
>even before corner car is in correct gear
>slushbox in dads mustang changes gears mid corners and he oversteers into a ditch
>tfw accelerate in autotragic

>>16879976
>ever turning something called "power mode" off
>go straight
>suddenly revs and car lurches and jolts
>back to normal
Fuck autos. Im tired of these stupid shift moments.

unless it's some underpowered econobox, this always happens to me when I borrow someone else's car.

wrong, manuals eternally btfo since automagics have instantaneous shifts.

Modern (emissions and mpg) friendly automatics seem to have this problem.
My Dad's 2003 Ram picks the appropriate gear and stays there until it needs to change no matter what.
>foot pressure doesn't change
>goes up a hill
>shifts down once
>still not low enough
>shifts down again
>truck accelerates

Mechanical kickdowns are sorely missed.

Lrn2 pedal control

Isn't that the result of the ECU adapting to different throttle habits between owners? Maybe you aren't as punchy on acceleration as its owner.

>Shifts on its own 1k under redline
Why?
>>16885045
red is a scary color
>>16885045
Using the paddles is just asking it nicely if it wants to shift. It won't shift until all the computer parameters and fluid pressure in the tranny are up to it's standards.
