I got 8.5k to spend on a car to commute 30-45 min with to college. What do I buy?
>>16858951
civic for 3k.
Literally just get a civic for 3k. No point in spending that much for a car that you're driving to college with, it'll just get trashed

RX-7
Or a bike
or a foxbody
Used leaf?
The bus
E39 540i wagon
>commute back home 9 hours from Uni every weekend and another 9 hours to get back.

nothing
I thought buying an economy car would be good but I was horribly wrong I hated it. I sold my 16 forte for a 16 gti and i l9ve it so much more. If your gonna drive 2 hours a day youll wanna enjoy it. Get a sporty car that gets good gas. Miata, gti, 328i, wrx, you might beable yo get a higher milage fiesta st. All im sayin is have fun with it. Also if you can make payments you can get a better car. I have 2.5 hours of drive time a day and im payin way more than i should gor my gti but i regret nothing i promise.
>bought a civic for college
>college parking lot is full of BMWs, Audis, and Mercedes
>mfw I'm probably the poorest student on campus

this, save your money so you can pay your bills and pay off that high interest debt you are going to undoubtedly acquire as a poor student

Rent a place within walking distance to campus

very jelly desu
I do 100 miles a day, 5 days a week to work. Factor in horrible traffic around campus freeways. Get a sub 10 year old civic. You want working AC.

what he said, if you're on this board you probably give a fuck about how a car drives, and you probably want something you could sleep in between classes you antisocial nerd (no miata/mr2).
