How the fuck do I get rid of the yellow-ness of my headlights?
I used the retarded toothpaste method, and it only got rid of it a little bit. And I scrubbed that shit on hard.
I want to completely get rid of the yellow-ness, it's fucking annoying.

Sell that shitbox and buy one with glorious sealed beams
Headlights can also haze on the inside. Are yours hazy outside or inside ?
>>16830350
I have no idea. How can I tell?
>>16830357
remove them and have a look
>>16830379
Well fuck, I'll have to wait until tomorrow for that.
What do I do if it's the inside of the headlights that's yellow?
Just use toothpaste and do the exact same thing?

I guess, can't hurt anything can it?
Make sure you mount them back correctly and that the seal is perfect so they don't fog up or get wet inside

I hope not.
Thanks for the help anon.

Use car polish and a micro-fibre cloth. Works errytime.
Bug spray like Off. Works every time.
Buy a proper headlight polishing kit before you start opening it up and break something
Smearing toothpaste and bug spray all over isn't gonna do shit. You need to sand them down. Get one of those $20 kits and use it.

God no. Thats a good way to make it look good for about 3 hours, then youve degraded the fuck out of your plastic and it looks like shit again
Sand paper, heavy grain to smaller grain, the only way. look it up.

Do this and headlight restoration kit and you're good to go

Take em to a headlight restoration place that guarantees lifetime work. Take it back if it ever fogs over again.

they just yellow over time from the UV. nothing much you can do about it.
>>16830326
just buy replacement oem headlights.
>>16830326
they sell kits to fix that. watch a YT video on it
High grit wet sand and polish
>>16830348
>tfw sealed beams with a leak in the seal
>>16831643
Replace that shit anon they're like $10
>>16831656
sure, but replacing the seals is quite difficult on pic related

Take to bodyshop and have them remove headlights, clean them, then spray some clearcoat
>>16830326
Stop obsessing with irrelevant shit, anon, life is too short for it.
And if you do want to keep complaining, grow up and buy an OEM replacement. Just don't buy those aftermarket "blue" lights that annoy the hell out of everyone and mark you as a ricer right away.
>>16830326
Use a wire brush and that charcoal facial mask shit
should work good
>>16830326
Wet sand with various grits of sand paper think I started with 600, 800,1000 and finally 1500.
Basically you are trying to remove the factory uv coating that has yellowed.
Once you have it sanded you want to re-clear it. I did 3 coats of clear
It will look like shit (orange peel). I had the best luck letting it set up for several days before I did the final wet sand and polish.

This. I paid like $20 for a restoration kit and it took about an hour for both headlights. They were as clear as new when i was done.
